The Art of Teaching

"It's not what is poured into a student that counts, but what is planted." Linda Conway

Wow - the end of 8 weeks

It's interesting that persons are always reluctant to take the plunge into a new venture - whether it is further studies, a new relationship, a new diet or simply a new hairstyle.  The fear of the unknown is always a deterrent.

For years I deliberated about continuing my studies.   I thought about a Masters in Law but realised that I would never really be happy or fulfilled doing that.  The idea of Education always tantalized - but it was a BIG UNKNOWN.
This year I took the plunge and what can I say, the first course is nearly complete and I have enjoyed it immensely.

Time flies when you are having fun, and my baptism of fire into the Early Childhood field has been memorable and enjoyable.
I have interacted with my colleagues and traversed many websites.

Thanks to my fellow colleagues on this journey who have provided valuable insight from their wealth of experience and knowledge base.   Thanks to my instructor for the appreciated pointers.

As I continue on my journey, I hope that it will be a fruitful one and the lessons learnt will cause me to help in the development of children and advocate for better educational systems and policies for the most vulnerable citizens of this world.

  3. LOVE the pic!!! hello Jamaica, love the words to live by. When enrolling into the Master programs after about 8 years of no schooling it was a culture shock to adjust the online schooling itself, having children and working full time was getting to be a chance for me to push even harder! but we made it now let's make it again!!! :) XOXO!!!
